Mike Jones is a screen producer, writer, and story developer with near two decades of experience across scripted drama and comedy. His work spans more than twenty broadcast series and feature films garnering numerous accolades including AACTA, Emmy, Rockie, AWG, Logie, SPA, and ADG awards.

His collaborations include major international TV mystery-thrillers - ‘The Gloaming’, ‘The Kettering Incident’, 'Eden', and 'DeadhouseDark’. Much loved dramedies - ‘F*cking Adelaide’, 'Other People's Problems' and Emmy-nominated 'Wrong Kind of Black'. As well as ACCTA-winning youth drama, 'Deadlock' and hit comedy features 'Sunburnt Christmas', 'Christmas Ransom', and 'Windcatcher'. Mike was also co-creator and writer of the hugely successful supernatural mystery drama, ‘The Orchard’, starring Eric Bana for Amazon's Audible.

Mike has long been a highly regarded script developer and previously worked with companies including the ABC, WarnerBros, Jungle, 2Jons, and Princess Pictures, and is currently Head of Content and Development at Every Cloud, one of Australia’s foremost independent screen production companies whose productions include international hit series 'Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries'.

With a commitment to finding new talent and exploring new platforms Mike has delivered some of Australia’s most successful and innovative scripted content development programs including ‘SkipAhead’ with Google/YouTube, ‘PlatformX’ with the AWG, ‘Gender Matters’ with ScreenAustralia, and ‘Long Story Short’ with the ABC.

Aside from television and film production Mike is a published horror novelist and co-creator of ground-breaking interactive projects ‘VRNoir’ and the psychedelic immersive drama, ‘Awake’. His early career included journalism and writing for the theatre where he was twice recipient of national young playwright’s awards. He previously served as a development executive to ScreenAustralia and lectured in story and writing at the Australian Film TV & Radio School.

Mike is a full member of the Australian Writers Guild (AWG), Screen Producers Australia (SPA), and the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA).
